Intended Audience

The summer school is designed for postgraduate students, young researchers and scientists in the field of applied mathematics and numerical methods. All lectures start at the postgraduate level and give short introductions to the general theory in the field, specializing in more specific topics during the lecture.

Participation for members of AIMS is free of charge. Other participants are welcome to apply. We try to keep the participation cost as low as possible. HGS MathComp is also offering scholarship packages (see below).


Student shared dormitory accommodation:                                             R230 per person per night
Student participation in welcome reception (snacks & wine)             R150 per person
Student participation in excursion + conference dinner (set meal)  R550 per person

Support for postgraduate students
